Who I am
Gregori Hollis is a trumpeter born in Barcelona in 1994. Being surrounded by music from his early childhood, at his school age, he decided he wanted to become a musician, and started his way going to Oriol Martorell School. He continued his music studies at the Josep Maria Ruera Conservatori in Granollers, achieving the professional grade. Recently, he has accomplished with honors the bachelor degree at ESMUC (The Music University of Catalunya).
Gregori stands out for both being versatile and an outstanding composer. He’s been well working altogether with groups like the Barcelona Jazz Orquestra, Vicens Martín Dream Big Band, Els Catarres, Dàmaris Gelabert, C. Tangana, Big Band Jazz Maresme, Orquestra Simfònica de Sant Cugat, Mainasons, Sabor de Gràcia, Roberto Blades, Paula Grande, La Señora Tomasa, The Risas, Freak Out...
Formation
Throughout his career he studied Trumpet interpretation with Matthew Simon, Gonzalo Álvarez, Michael Rodríguez (NY), Greg Gisbert (NY), David Pastor, Ivó Oller, Llibert Fortuny… He had harmony and composition master sessions with Gonzalo Grau, Lluís Vergés, Martí Ventura, Michael Rodriguez and Lluís Vidal. His interest for the latin genre also lead him to attend meet Dani Forcada i Gonzalo Grau, who enriched his latin music knowledge.
